The Norman Regional Health expansion project consisted of 3 new facilities: a new Bed Tower, Ambulatory Care Center, and Free-Standing Emergency Department. Expanding the Healthplex campus, a 5-story Bed Tower was built providing an additional 32 ICU beds, 64 Pediatric ICU beds, 32 Emergency bays plus 6 Trauma/Resuscitation bays, 26 Observation beds, 11 Prep/Recovery beds, Cath Lab/Hybrid OR (EP & TEE), GI Procedure, Diagnostic Imaging (X-ray, CT, Interventional Radiology, MRI and Nuclear Medicine), Inpatient Rehab, and Clinical Support Departments. The new Ambulatory Care Center on the Healthplex campus, includes Medical Imaging (X-Ray, CT MRI, U/S, PFT), Neuro Diagnostics (EEG & EMG), Exam/Observation Rooms, 11 OR’s, 16 PACU beds, 30 Prep/Recovery beds, and an Outpatient Infusion Center. Providing additional off-site services to east Norman, the Freestanding ED includes Exam/Treatment Rooms, Diagnostic Imaging (X-Ray, MRI, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Densitometry), Lab, PT/OT, and Clinical space.

Walsh’s involvement on this project included Medical Equipment Cost Estimating, Detailed Budgeting, Specification Development, Revit Placement Equipment Drawings, and Reuse Planning.
