Southwest General Health Center planned an Emergency Department and Bed Tower Addition. The first phase included an Emergency Department and a 24-Bed ICU. The second phase included a 3-story Bed Tower with 96 Acute Care beds to allow existing semi-private rooms to be converted to private rooms. Also included in the project was the back fill and renovation of the existing Emergency Department and ICU which included the creation of a CDU/Observation Unit and a CCU. Walsh’s involvement on this project included Medical Equipment Budgeting, Specification of New Equipment, Reuse Planning for Existing Equipment, as well as Procurement, Installation, and Relocation Planning Services during the Construction Phase.
